Apollino Design is a Seattle-based studio specializing in clear, thoughtful visual communication for music production, education, archival projects, and nonprofits. The studio’s work spans publishing, cultural memory, performance, and community-centered initiatives, with a focus on design that strengthens and supports the people and organizations it serves.
The studio is led by Julia Wright Crosara, a graphic designer and artist with more than twenty years of experience informed by work within academic, archival, and cultural settings. Her approach is grounded in collaboration and close listening. Each project begins with understanding a client’s goals, values, audiences, and context, guided by a commitment to clarity, care, and ethical representation.
Alongside her design work, Julia maintains a painting and weaving practice rooted in her academic training in art history and studio art in New York, Chicago, and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Working by hand with color, texture, and material offers a grounding counterbalance to digital design, and her studio practice remains a personal space for exploration, experimentation, and reflection.
